Hey Guys
im a 24 year old male. just happened to find melbourne chat throgh google as I typed in find friends.
so anyway. I have been here on this site for a while and seen various postings and replies but seems like nobody is getting anywhere with actually meeting people. its all just replies and miscommunication
Just thought I could start this topic and keep a track of whats happening with people that stay on this topic and organise some nights out, drinks, pub crawls etc.
After all I am a bartender and I am familiar with a few good places in and around the city. I have been here in Australia for a while and recently find myself lost without any friends and social life.
Would like to hear from Genuine people and I will try and organise an evening where we all can meet each other and bring this topic to life.

Hi Roy,
I joined this forum about 3 weeks ago looking for the same thing.
To meet same genuine, down to earth, good people. Managed to organize a night out and it was refreshing
to hear and share and relax. Went out couple of times after that with some of them that I "clicked with"(last weekend)
while with others I still keep in touch.
We are in agreement that all of us went through different life paths and
have different points of view/cultural differences but we always can agree to disagree. Accepting and learning from
different views/experiences we can only grow...
And yes count me in too when you organize something.

Hey guys, I have just found this site and I'm looking for new mates around Melbourne. I moved here from a little country town at the start of the year. I've met up with a couple of friends I already knew down here but I don't know very many and I'm really looking to meet some new fresh faces. So, you can count me in on any social gatherings you get together.

hey guys
first of all, I would like to say sorry for being out of touch as I have been really busy with work. I am a shift worker and sometimes work overnight and then have to return to work the next day by noon which leaves me sufficient time to sleep and again wake up and get back to work. besides I am in the midst of moving house and been slightly occupied.
however if you guys are feeling comfortable introducing each other and getting to know more about everybody here do not hesitate to plan something and meet up with the nearest opportunity you can find.
I will always join in if im free.
I was thinking of having everybodies email id so I can list all the people who are keen on meeting and then if i can plan something I can send a mail to everybody.
next week seems a bit light for me so if i do get the time I shall organise a lunch or a small gathering.

Another thread mentioned a group of people meeting on the library lawn in the CBD this Sunday at noon, we should combine the two. Anyone else down?

Sounds good. I was one of the guys who was catching up at state library. I have the contact number of one of them so could spread the word. But anyway. Coming Thursday seems like a good day. Could meet at a beer garden around 6:30 pm. If interested, reply back with email Ids. I will

Hi guys, count me in. I'm always up for a chat and meeting new peeps. I'm also quite into Melb's electronic dance music scene, so I work at and attend many of the big events and festivals.
