Does anyone out there who has closely following the creation of Myki and its adoption in Melbourne have any fun or amusing facts about it to share? Where does the name come from?

No idea where the name came from but I remember the hassles it caused when it was first rolled out.

 

Delays and cost blowouts were part of the modus operandi. Metcard was better and rides were cheaper.

 

Melbourne city has a free ride zone so you don't need a myki to get around town.
