Shameless plug here, I just wanted to mention a project that I have been working on for a while. I always wanted to be involved in humanitarian work in some way but until now I never got the chance (nor the fortune) to see my dream fulfilled.
This is when I got involved with [url="http://www.auscause.com.au/"]Auscause[/url], which isn't an original idea, but definitely a neat one. It combines the best aspects of websites that list deals and discounts from a variety of portals, with the twist of the recent humble indie bundle which has done a great deal for struggling independent game developers and charities alike by allowing customers to purchase products and donate to charity at the same time.
The result is Auscause, a site (not a shopping website, keep in mind) that lists the best deals from all online Australian stores (or ones that ship here) and donates a portion of each item sold to charity. This benefits the end users in two ways that they can easily find all deals and discounts in one place as well as help out noble causes while shopping online. I am very proud of the work done so far and you guys can check it out as well at Auscause.com - All you have to do is to sign up for an account and you're in.
