However I think it lovely and it happened right here in Melbourne.

Get the tissues out, its incredibly moving.

Even my straight friends loved this.

We dont have marriage equality yet but the guys got married any way.

The support of their family is beautiful.

Not expecting many takers for this thread but thrilled there has been no homophobic hate!

Regardless of politics I think Ted should follow Tasmania's example. Apart from fairness and sheer compassion the advantages of the so called pink dollar will be enormous.

We know Ted supports gay marriage..he has said so. The Libs have a fairly impressive record in Vic. Historically better sometimes than the ALP. The libs legalized and they are ALWAYS a presence at mid summer. Those who don't know its Melbourne's enormously successful gay event...bigger than Moomba! If we go ahead and do it the revenue alone is worth it. Jeff Kennet supports it too!

Gay marriage will come and to younger gay people who might read this..stay strong.
