hi there, i am a new one too though it seems everyone is newish cause it is a new site after all isn't it? well a bit about me. i like to ride my bike and go jogging. i work in richmond and live in east richmond so its nice and close to home. i love chatting on MSN and yahoo and well i thought a melbourne chat website sounds sorta cool cause you can speak to lots of people at once and not have to be madly typing all day to keep up with the other high speed chatters if you don't feel like it!!!!!! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

hi kelly and welcome to the forum. yes you are quite right about the site being new. we just started about a week ago but the response so far has been very good so we are hopeful the site will become popular pretty soon.



we might be introducing a real time chat feature later on if members feel it would be something they wanted. see how we go.

I wish I lived so close to work. That would be terrific. I am still getting used to the whole idea of NOT using Msn and yahoo and chatter IM programs. But I know I have been using them too much lately and am trying to ween myself off. Maybe this will be a good middle ground.

Marco - Jogging is great! Wonderful way to get fit and terrific fun too! Much better than chasing a bus.
