Begin your Australia Day celebrations with community, government and business leaders at a very special luncheon in the presence of Professor David de Kretser AC, Governor of Victoria, the Acting Premier of Victoria, the Hon John Thwaites MP and John So, the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor of Melbourne.
This year's highlights will be the announcement of the Australia Post 2007 Legends (and Legends will be present), performance by Rhonda Burchmore and the John Batman Oration, by actor and author William McInnes.

The winner of the Australia Day Anthem Singer Competition will present the National Anthem and Australia Day Ambassadors Wendy Stapleton and Paul Norton will also perform. The formal Australia Day ceremony includes a Service Guard of Honour and the Navy Band.

Come and watch the thousands of Victorians, from all walks of life and from all over the world, who will walk together in the 2007 Australia Day People's March along Swanston Street to Alexandra Gardens. You are invited to join the Governor, Premier, Lord Mayor, Flag Raising Officials,
Australia Day Ambassadors and new Australian Citizens at the end of the March and walk to the Alexandra Gardens. At approx. 11.30am there will be a flypast by RAAF FA-18s (depending on availability and weather conditions).

A real favourite with families, and supported by RACV, the Kings Domain Gardens will feature the famous historic vehicle display, with more than 550 veteran and vintage vehicles, entertainment, free activities and scrumptious food stalls. Enjoy the roving entertainers that will amaze and dazzle you as you tour the vehicles. Wave off the vehicles as they leave the gardens at 3.30pm.
