Melbourne Suburban Rivalry And Stereotypes

I know in Sydney there is different rivalries and stereotypes between the Suburbs.

Can anybody give me a rundown on the different suburban stereotypes?



In Sydney you have the people up north who are stereotyped as rich snobs.

The Westies you are stereotyped as Bogans

People from The Shire as laid back

etc etc



What's the suburban stereotype in Melbourne?

there is definitely a west and south rivalry in Melbourne. and the "inner city" crowd turn their noses up and the outer suburbs people! i often speak to inner city people and they act like i live in the country just because i am in the outer suburbs! oh well, they can have fun in their traffic jams and packed trams!
