Hi everyone,

Where's Magda(I mean Szubanski)? What about all the other Kath & Kim's main cast such as Gina Riley, Jane Turner etc. That list is a bit faulty.

Anyway, great chat, keep it going. I'll be in Melbourne very soon, hope it's going to be useful.

Cheers :piwo:

well there may be a number of omissions, but i found quite a few names that i wouldn't have associated with melbourne, as well as a number of people i had never even heard of.

interesting to see the old silent film comedian "snub" pollard on the list. Quite popular in the teens and twenties, his career faded away with the coming of sound, although he continued to appear in films up to 1960, two years before his death, in "inherit the wind". he also appeared in chaplin's "limelight" (1952) and was even in "singin' in the rain" (1952) (gene kelly hands him the umberella), "all about eve" (1950), "adam's rib" (1949) and "miracle on 34th street" (1947). perhaps his best silent was "it's a gift":
