How to Make a Monster - Animatronics
How to Make a Monster takes the audience on a journey of monster creation from the original concept, storyboarding process and how the maquettes are made, through to how the full size pieces are sculpted, moulded and finished.
The exhibitionâs key focus is on animatronics: the components designed and installed within the monsters to create their 'bones' and 'muscles' and bring them to life.
Highlights on show include the Abominable Snowman, gorillas from the movie âGeorge of the Jungle 2â, Disneyâs 'Inspector Gadget' and the alien from 'Pitch Black'.
The exhibition has been created by Oscar winning John Cox and the John Cox Creature Workshop.
