Beechworth Celtic Festival 2007
9 - 11 November 2007
This 3 day event is held annually on the second weekend of November, in historic Beechworth, North East Victoria. We will celebrate our Celtic past, present and future. Our festival offers a wide ranging Celtic experience to delight young and old. This year, 2007, we are getting back to grass roots and hope to see some old and new faces in Beechworth at our festival.
Late Spring on the Celtic calendar means "Beltane" and the celebration of the pastoral Summer season ahead. A Celtic Mass organised by the Beechworth Uniting church is held on the Sunday of the festival and coincides with the annual north east Victorian Celtic pilgrimage.
Come and see stirring pipe bands, street parade, musicians from near and far, Irish and Scottish dance troupes, (comedy), workshops for your enjoyment or participation, music sessions, street stage, live music in concert or more intimate surrounds.
