I wonder if it will be a lengthy display like in Sydney or a 5 minute pop like last year. It would be good to see ourself on the map this time.

i am not sure if the high temperatures matter. the fireworks don't start till late anyway so the temperature will presumably fall by then. I think there is 2 sets of fireworks. One around 9.15pm and the other at midnight. I went last year and it was a great show!!!! A good place to watch was on the south side of the yarra opposite Federation Square. Also sitting on the hill at Birrarung Marr was OK but some trees were blocking the view a little ...but not too bad.
