Cbd - Smoking

I'm heading to Melbourne next month, and was wondering a good place (or two) where I can sit and relax, inside, out of the rain and cold, with a cigar or pipe.
 
I know smoking has been banned in every second place, but all I'm after is one or two places. Surely – can anybody help?

The trouble is smoking has been banned in every first place as well. No smoking within 10 meters of a food storage area or something like that.  I don't know where you could go to be honest.

i used to smoke and loved it. Just the same its a legal product.It did unfortunatelty ruin my health.

 

Funny thing is when you give up you wish people would not smoke near you. 

Even in Thailand they dont smoke in cafes any more.

I must say I got angry with non mokers reacting to me smoking. Now I dont smoke I realise how awful it is putting up with smokers.

Great achievement mello  Only smokers know how hard it is.

I gave up because of a marvellous doctor.

Most doctors were non smokers and often went on and on about the dirty filthy habit etc. Even some saying all cigarettes taste the same.

Rubbish.

Why would one smoke if you did not enjoy it?

So I gave up listening to those doctors.

They did not get it!

 

Finally I met a new doctor. I told him I was trying to quit.

I was ready for the old lecture...well stop. Its a dirty habit. How can puffing smoke be pleasant?  You know the rest.

WELL this doctor was different... He said

You know something...I used to smoke. THere is nothing as nice as a smoke when sitting down with a coffee or a whiskey.

Or a smoke in the morning with a cuppa.

After a strss situation to li9ght up and its so relaxing.

 

I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT I WAS HEARING.

He looked at me and smiled. He said  You seem surprised.

I responded.

Well its just I have never hearsd a doctor say that . Most doctors lecture you on how revolting it is.

He smiled and said those doctors dont understand that a smoker smokes because its thoroughly enjoyable.

He then paused.

Only one problem.

Look at the packet. I looked at Julia Gillards gruesome packets with the horrific drawing.

The Doctor said   thats the only problem... they are enjoyable.. but they will kill you.

Peter I wish I had never smoked.

BUT  it was enjoyable  thats why people smoke.

Experts who try to tell smokers that its horrible miss the point.

Its enjoyable  BUT...

Its a killer!
