The much loved Astor theatre cat has died aged twenty one!

This adorable creature was a very very well known icon at Melbounes much loved cinema.

Often she sat curled up on a patrons lap during the movie.

I know many movie goers who had a night out at this glorious old movie house that still has double features and indisputably the best choc tops in the world will miss this lovely cat.

She was always so gregarious but in her later years it was lovely to see patrons giving the old cat a gentle pat.

She even has her face book page and the tributes are flowing in.

Dont have face book? I do and trust me its a pain...almost impossible to get off it. Great for friends over seas but its the most abused thing in the world.

I am stuck with it but use it with a great deal of discretion.

Wise lad Peter...dont get onto it. I regret I did.

I dont think either of them will be around much longer. I could be wrong but I really believe the era of news papers, like land line phones is pretty much over or really limited.

I suggest you all avoid face book. I find its not bad for contacting with friends over seas but there are better ways. For small business it might be ok. But once you are on it you are STUCK!

Sadly I predict thats where most will get their NEWS!!
