Melbourne weather forecast

Hi everyone, I was doing some research on the best Melbourne weather forecast websites and here are a few I have found.

I guess the most reliable would have to be the "BOM" or the Bureau of Meteorology.

BOM Melbourne Forecast: http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDV10450.shtml

For something a bit prettier, I like the ABC Melbourne weather forecast.

This next one is pretty cool. I like their little moon phase graphics and so forth:

Here is one from The Age which is OK:

If you are a farmer then you might like the Elders weather report:

http://www.eldersweather.com.au/local.jsp?...loc&lc=5594

Anyway, they are the best ones I found so far. Please let me know if I have missed some other good ones.

Cheers, Glen <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/fishie.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Hello everybody

I will be staying in Melbourne from MArch 2 to April 6.I would like to learn about the weather there on that dates. Here March is the last month of the year and usually we have snow.It is normal because we are on the north part of the Earth. What clothings do I have to have there?

Thanks

see you <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

It should be pretty hot! Maybe 30 degrees. Typically March is pretty hot and April starts getting cooler.

I'm going to stay with host families so I want to learn about culturel manners in Melbourne.I do not want to be impolite. While eating or introducing myself what am I supposed to do?

while eating, try not to be too noisy and don't eat with your mouth open!!!

introductions...you could say. "hi. nice to meet you". <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' /> not sure if this answers your question or not.

i am not sure what is unique about australian eating. i think we are fairly typical when compared to other western countries like the usa or the uk.

for example, it is polite to not start eating until everyone at the table has been served their food (particularly in a restaurant) but i often just start eating anyway so this is not a strict rule as such! lol

it would be polite if you offered to wash the dishes after eating but that is not expected and probably the offer to clean up would be appreciated but not accepted by the host.

if visiting a friends place for dinner it would be polite to bring a bottle of wine or some beer but again it is not essential <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

cheers, glen
