Ben Kweller will return to Melbourne as part of a national tour. Ben Kweller will be charming the pants off all of us with his signature dance moves and uplifting melodies.
Ben Kweller toured Australia earlier this year in April playing festivals (West Coast Blues 'n' Roots Festival, East Coast Blues 'n' Roots Festival, Southern Roots Festival, Point Nepean Festival and Great Escape Festival) and supporting John Mayer. It was hard not to fall instantly in love with the pocket-sized Brooklyn sweetheart as he bounded onto the stage, guitar in hand, face beaming.
Raised in Texas and interested in music at an early age, Kweller by his mid teens was performing with the band Radish. As influences, he has cited artists ranging from Buddy Holly, to Sonic Youth, Pavement, the Beatles and Bob Dylan.
His first LP, "Freak Out, It's Ben Kweller," has been followed by "Sha Sha", "On My Way" and his latest self-titled album "Ben Kweller" on which Kweller plays every instrument, ranging from guitar to glockenspiel.
