Melbourne International Comedy Festival
From 19 March â 13 April the 2008 Melbourne International Comedy Festival is in town.
With a huge program covering more area than ever this year, all of Melbourne is sure to be uncontrollably laughing this autumn. From the opening night Gala Arena Spectacular, to venues throughout the City, thereâll be no escaping Australiaâs largest celebration of all things funny.
Once again the Melbourne Town Hall will be at the centre of silly as it is transformed into the Festivalâs comedy HQ, complete with three levels of stages, bars and cinemas.
For three and a half weeks the best local comic talent is joined by the most blistering comedians on the international circuit for hilarity of the highest order. There are plenty of familiar funny faces, huge comedy stars from radio, stage and screen, as well as newbies on the scene.

Call him a punk rocker, failed wrestler or My Little Pony enthusiast, but whatever label you pin on him, Wil Hodgson is sure to blow it to smithereens.
