Then explore the vaults in the basement, built to store gold during the gold rush days. The City Museum at Old Treasury Melbourne is situated within the historic Old Treasury Building and was formerly Gold Treasury Museum. Executive Council Chamber tours at 11am and 2pm subject to availability. Public Holidays â 10am to 4pm; Closed Good Friday, Christmas and Boxing Day.
