Melbourne Beer Brewing Diy

Barleycorn Brewers - Make your own beer

If you enjoy beer, this is an opportunity to create your own high quality, preservative free beer at a reasonable price and have fun with your friends while you do it. We take you through the process of selecting the ingredients for your recipe and then carefully adding them to the brew kettles at predetermined times. Two weeks later you’re ready to bottle or can your own beer. Share a few drinks with fellow Barleycorn Brewers as you bottle, and take away five to six cartons (24 boutique bottles) of ready to drink, cold filtered beer. More than 100 recipes, expert assistance, all ingredients supplied. We can also supply labels with your design. Great for first time to experienced brewers. A totally new experience in Melbourne.

More Info:

Suitability: Brewers must be over 18 years of age. Those less than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Group Numbers: Best fun is had in groups. There are a few intervals - 15 minute boil times - where it’s good to chat or have a look around the facility. Our staff will work one on one, or with groups on one brew. Groups up to ten per brew can be catered for, but we would recommend one brew per a maximum of five people to get best access to your guide. Special arrangements and catering can be organised for larger groups. Contact Barleycorn Brewers.

Session Length: Brewing itself will take you about 1.5 h, but allow at least 2 h. Bottling time is around one hour. If you’re having a good time it’s likely to take longer, as you meet fellow brewers and share a few beers.

Extra Info: Evidence of age may be requested. No specific dress requirements but participants should be aware that floors can get slippery with water or beer splashes so footwear should cover feet and have good grip. This is like cooking – plenty of fun but be prepared to get a bit messy.

Available Dates: We are open for bookings Monday to Saturday between 9.30am and 5.30pm. Bookings should be made a week ahead, especially for Saturdays.
