I think i wrote that when i was a little cheesed off....while i was doing a tafe course we had to do work experience and i went to a radio station.

and it sucked, they first of all gave me the run around as to whether i could go there or not. then when i got there they didn't really want me there and alot of them ended up not letting me in to see what they do, and the station was going through some changes some announcers didn't know whether they had a job or not because manangement didn't want anyone going to the media. so come thursday the new crew starting up were still getting the show orginized for monday.

announcer still didn't know who was staying and who was going

and it was thursday.!!!!!!!

alot of the people there conplained about the listeners winning prizers and ringing up.

you know be nice to their faces and ##### off air. listeners that keep the ratings up and keep the money coming in....... <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

I do community radio and i wanted to see how commerical radio was done.

well you know the saying be careful for what you wish for

Well, I've been a radio fan since I was a little kid and started listening on the proverbial crystal set when I was about six years old. I remember my father going overseas when I was about eight and buying me my first transistor radio. In recent years I've found Australian radio increasingly annoying. There's too much inane chat on the commercial stations and also on the ABC. The ABC is good up until about 11 am then it is crap. I tend to listen to internet radio a lot these days. There are stations that just play music with no DJs and you can find them to suit your favourite genre. I also listen to US and Candadian stations. Surprisingly I find the chat less inane. I also listen to sports a lot.

I worked in a radio station when i was at uni. Well I did about 10 shows for about 2 hours per show. It was kinda fun. Though the commentary was pretty lame! We often resorted to reading from the uni newspaper out of desperation <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> Myself and my co-host were not the best spoken people at the time! And we struggled to string 2 or 3 interesting sentences together <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />
