Is It Possible To Buy A Car With Overseas Driver License?

just want to ask one quick questions, i just download a form called "transfer registration" from Vicroads.

on the form it requires me to fill "Victorian Driver License Number"



so does it mean i must have a Victorian Driver License to buy a car in Melbourne?

Because i only have overseas Driver License... how bout interstate driver license?



Any help would most appreciated...

i had a look on the vicroads website and could not find any clear info but it seems you would be eligible to register a car therefore you should also be eligible to have a vehicle transfered to you.



as far as i know there is no rule saying you must have the victorian licence before you register the car.



i think it is best to just give them a call.

here i have the form with "fill in blanks" area.. stated that i "must" have Victorian driver license to buy a second car.

"All details must be provided including

the licence number for all Victorian licence holders."

Is it possible to buy and register a car without having a driving license and within the first two months after landing?
