hi duck,.....that is easy..because in the old days, tennis courts were not being used (...all the running around playing tennis was very tiring!!!!) and so people started using the courts as eating areas instead of playing tennis. hence the name food courts!!! lol (ok i made that up but it might be true!!!!) <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

Yeah it's strange when I'm relieved it's 35 lol As I type the sun is setting and it's about 27c. You know even had a slight ammount of rain here for me yesterday. I remember when it used to rain in Melbourne , grins. When were you last in Melbourne Radio?

Happy Birthday sorry i missed it,
Never been to Melbourne, We will have to do something about that. A large number of fires spread across the state. While I live in the suburbs so have not been personaly threatened by them. You could see smoke and I've had a friend loose his house and another friend we stayed to save his just this last Monday night. Thankfully the wind was not high. It's been such a traggity for everyone, lives, property, animals and bushland. What a remarkable response from our people tho. The Monday following Black Saturday I went to the Red Cross to give blood and they actually turned me away as so many had come. So I donated some money at the post office. Anyhow thanks for asking about the fires. Our prayers and best wishes go out to all affected. Sadly while under control many fires are still burning.

Absolutely amazing how Australians have rallied behind those affected by the ongoing fires.
That concert does sound good. Shame your not in Melbourne Radio we could go to it. It will raise another truck load of much needed aid I'm sure of that. Welcome to Month 3 of 09 |
