Hi everyone, Myself and fiancee are looking to work as docs in Melbourne. Currently have offers from Maroondah and Angliss Hospitals. Could anyone let me know what these hospitals are like? We would prefer to live near the coast or CBD. Would this be possible? Any recommended suburbs to live in that would be near the city/coast and not too far commute? Also, how do we go about shipping things over to Oz?

I have heard of Maroondah. I got the impression it was medium sized. I never heard of Angliss but I guess it is fine.
Neither of those hospitals are near the coast or the CBD. But the good thing is that Angliss is near the Dandenongs which are very beautiful (good for bush walking, picnics etc). And Maroondah is close to Ringwood where housing is reasonably affordable. And you can catch a train to the city from either location fairly easily.
