Heya all, My name is Gui, I am 19, live on the mornington peninsula and have done my whole life. I work for a company that subcontracts to the defence force and travel interstate regulaly because of it.
I drive a Prelude, My favourite band is Dream Theater (and LTE), I live off of chocolate milkshakes and can't wait to meet more people from super awesome Melbourne =]

I have not heard of Dream Theater. What style of music do they play?

They are a progressive rock band, and have been around since 1985 ish. Their style is hard to explain becase it varies so much. They have a number of concept albums, like Scenes from a memory which is a rock opera, and octavarium which is simply genious. =]
'Train of thought' is probably their hardest album, and 'images and words' probably has the most variety. 'A change of seasons' is really an extention of their previous album with only 5 tracks, but has an awesome cover of funeral for a friend and bohemian rhapsody.
Most people are a huge fan or not interested at all, and to be honest, at first I was the latter. Scenes from a memory got me really interested, it has an awesome story. Now all the CD stacker in my car has in it is dream theater. Apparently they are also really big in Japan =]
