G'day

Hi everyone, George from Bunbury Western Australia

Seeing how the boss and I are coming to Victoria in April I thought I'd log in and get some advice..

We are traveling around through Vic and then NSW in a hired Campervan.. what we would like to do is buy a couple of push bikes so we can use these for getting around..

Our thoughts were to buy a couple of bike in melbourne then sell them where ever we can in Sydney once we finish our touring..

We really do not want to buy expensive bike for just a few months of use..

Does anyone know of someplace that sell reasonable mountain kinda bikes?

I have thought of the KMart but what I have read on the net was that we should steer right away from them..

Any thoughts? we land in melb on the 6th of April 09

Cheers

George

I would have thought KMart bikes would be OK. Sometimes they have a 30% off sale which might help. Though KMart probably won't give you many choices in terms of choosing the size of the bike.

There are lots of other bike shops of course. What area of Melbourne will you be based in?

We will only be in Melbourne long enough to buy supplies and the bikes

Consider identifying the type of bike you want to purchase first and then a bike shop that stocks the item cheaply.
