Pre-bush Fire Marysville
#1
Since the bush fire, I have yet visited Marysville anymore.

I have a gallery of the images from Lady Talbot Drive that was once green and filled with waters. A beautiful place that I go on the monthly basis.

The weather is getting cold now. Looking back, it was really a great place to go to (only 1 hour to drive to from CBD)

I watched the ABC the other night

and tuned into the last 20mins of the show.

it was on the bushfires and marysville

they showed live vidoe footage and spoke to the people and a cop and chief fireman who lost his wife.

very sad.

I tried to stay away from the disaster scene because a lot of people were hurt from the bushfire.

I used to spend my weekends in the region a lot since easy access from my house here

I've never been there to Victoria,

but that picture looks beautiful.

it was sad watching the ABC and hearing that people in the town

had know idea how close that fire was...no-one told them until the very last minute...

how can something like that happen.

something like that will never happen again... millions will be spent on an early warning phone system in the form of what I suppose would be something like an information phone calls to every house hold during any disaster.

Not sure of the exact scope however, I do faintly recall recent comments on how such a system might be on the overly expensive side and as a result very unlikely to be implemented outside of high risk areas if at all.
