Michael was surfing the Internet one night looking forsomething that wasn't readily available in Australia and then try tobuild upon it, and he found Mini Golf but with a twist. The Blythfamily having visited various Mini Golf courses throughout the yearswhilst on holidays, and thought that this concept (that wasoriginally thought of in the USA) was an ideal way to entertain wholefamilies in Melbourne,
After been rejected by several banksfor funding and saving hard along with selling their previousbusiness of 12 years they finally found the funds to build thisfantastic facility. and that it is based in the Docklands Melbournejust behind the Big Wheel, makes this project that much moreexciting, in fact its just about central to the whole of Melbourne.
After constantly seeing indoor Children's centres thatjust cater for children (and having 3 children themselves) Michaeland Julie realised that entertainment was tragically missing for thewhole family along with teenagers and young couples looking forsomewhere to go just to have some fun. Julie says âThat she can notwait to have their first Wedding at the mini golf, with the whitewedding dress absolutely glowing under the Black Lights, that wouldlook so stunningâ Michael had the vision and technical expertiseand Julie has the marketing and creativity prowess to get the FamilyFun Centres Pty Ltd Black Light Mini golf up and operating, and itsthe intangible assets that will make this business stand out from anyother. There are hundreds of other business and Franchises inAustralia but this business is most notable in recent years, givingthe public and visitors something new to look forward to.
Michaeland Julie have plans to Franchise this system in the near future andwould be looking for people who would have the same energy andpassion of developing the business as themselves. The website was abig challenge, not in the design or the development but in theimplementation of the online booking system. Michael says that âYoudon t need to call us because you can direct book online your specialparty or function and pay your holding deposit, The booking calendarlets you see what is not available immediately, then with just a fewmouse clicks your booked. As well as this we have also implemented anew Party/function concept, you can now have a party along with theParty Loot bags, 3D glasses and Glow sticks but without theParty/Function room, this enables us to keep the cost down and makeit affordable for everyone, we don't even supply food.
