Street Art / Shopping
#1
Me and my boyfriend are heading to Melbourne next week and are wanting to make the most out of our time there.

Are there any shops etc that you recommend for good local street art and street wear etc?

Interesting time to visit as there may be some end of financial year sales on. Only I don't know where they might be! I guess lots of shops might have a sale.

I never heard of a shop selling street art. I am not sure what you are after. If you want to SEE street art (on the street) then I guess there is plenty of graffiti around the train stations. If you are after melbourne stencil art then that is a bit harder to find. I stumble across it from time to time <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

In terms of street wear, again I don't really know what you mean. But if you want to visit somewhere a bit gritty and dingy i guess smith street, brunswick might be a shot (though personally that is the last place i would head to).

I found this "unashamedly cool" website that might be of some help.
