Hello Der!
#1
Hi,

We're living in Perth at the moment and planning a move to Melbourne pretty soon (when the house sells). Never been before so looking on it as another adventure. There's a squad of 6 of us so trying to find a suburb in a nice area, not too expensive and not too far away from things i.e. beach and pub lol.

Plasterers by trade, mostly do the white set (hence the name), so was wondering if any one knew what the work situation there is like for the building trades? Willing to do any kind of work really to get us up and running.

We also enjoy headin out on the boat for a spot of fishing, not that I seem to catch anything mind! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

We're planning on sending our car and that over on the train then hiring a campervan to travel from Perth To Melbourne, sorta like a bit of a holiday thing with the kids. So if anyone has any tips on that it would be great, oh yeh, and how long do you reckon it'll take?

Look forward to hearing from you all!

Good Luck!

Thanks for your reply Peter, sounds like you had a good time! We've never driven a camper before but I suppose that'll make it all the more fun ha! At least the kids will be waaay down the back instead of in my ear arguing!
