Moving From England To Melbourne Asap
#1
Hallo all....

My wife, myself and our 2 kids (8 and 2yrs) will be moving to Melbourne from England in September 2009 (and we are all very excited and looking foward to it) so l would like to find out if there is any way we can secure cheap enough temporary accommodation prior to flying to move straight into on arrival. We have never been to Oz let alone Melbourne so its a daunting task organising this move.

We have of course done a bit of fruitless homework and research so we would greatly appreciate any kind of help, guidance or ideas. We would be preferably looking at any type or form of accommodation big enough to squeeze in the 4 of us, maybe from a 1 bed dwelling onwards and going for around $100 (AUD) per night for upto 2 weeks.

My wife has secured a job close to Melbourne CBD but unfortunately her employers could not assist us with relocation and she wont be starting her new job for a while yet from our date of arrival (so location is not that vital). Our biggest problem right now is the unforeseen race against time to the date of departure. Maybe holiday accommodation or something in Melbourne while we try and sort ourselves out.

Thanx all.
