Has everyone managed to survive the massive hail stones!!?
I thankfully made it home just before it hit and stood inside watching the huge golf-ball sized hailstones pummel down on my family's cars and belt against the windows. There's a lot of hail damage of cars, flooding, fallen trees.. crazy..
Any stories??

Been fairly oblivious to the drama here in Geelong but have come across a couple of gems:

oh cool, yah it sure is!
I watched the storm pass us today, it was quite spectacular looking! Thankfully it missed us so we didn't have any problems with our cars!
I know people who's cars have been badly damaged and my brother was out bike riding in port melbourne when the hail came down - now he has bruises!!!

Yea it was crazy - we got off quite easy, only broke an outdoor light and dented my dad's and bro's cars..
but have heard of smashed windows, windscreens, flooded houses and even hailstones breaking roof tiles!

NUTS! i heard Knox was one of the hardest hit areas - must have only JUST missed us! Mum just showed me 2 hail stones they collected from after the storm - they put em in the freezer right away - they were still the size of golf balls!

Hey all, yea was definately crazy weather yesterday, though there was no hail in my area. There's a pic of some guy rowing down a side street in Richmond lol. I'm waiting for a few days time when the water department come out and say the rain storm did not help raise the water levels in our dams which seems to happen after we get substantial rain. But surely yesterday would have helped.

I sat on the deck and listened to and watched in sheer delight the storm. I love storms providing I am not as has happened a few times walking home in one. Of course that all changed when I saw it had damaged property. Sorry if you were a victim of it.

i agree! storms are excellent to sit inside in the warmth and watch or listen to - not so good if you're stuck outside!!
