Moving To Melbourne

Hi just lookin for bit of local information. Just starting work in Dandenong and have to find a place to live. I don't want to have to travel too far to work but I do want to be where there's a good atmosphere - nice restaurants, close to shops and a gym, easy access to the city etc.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I would suggest you try find something somewhere along the Dandenong trainline. Just grab the melways and maybe pick a few suburbs along there. Then you can get to work easy and be nearer to the city if you want restaraunts etc. Though then again I guess there are plenty of places to eat in Dandy! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':laugh:' /> I never really tried.
