Let Me Start Off By Saying I Always Keep Spare Change, Incase Mr. Whippy Drives Past.
#1
Hello!

I'm a 21 year old female who's finding it increasingly difficult and boring to keep up a conversation with people I meet. I'm not a social drone, I can talk about anything and will... It just seems as if talking to anybody these days is a challenge, as all you receive back is a short answer and nothing intelligent. I'm a games journalist, photographer, I want to make movies, explore space, maybe own a pair of green shoes, I like 6 tablespoons of milo in my drink, I eat mars bars in a weird way and uh hmmm. When I glance out the window at the city as I'm driving by I usually imagine a giant robot, men running past with mounted SMG's running after robots. When I see a elderly man with a tattered hat and old suitcase I build up a backstory movieeqsue as to why... And I'm just saying that so you can get an idea of my imagination.

I only drink well made coffee, I really like energetic live big band jazz and sometimes I stage events in melbourne to amuse my friends and I. Ie putting a banana in the middle of the street with a note in it, when people bend over to read the note, it says "Run" and my hiding friend in a gorilla suit jumps out and chases them <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

Hmmm

Really just looking for friends I can catch up with and get a drink, coffee, go bowling, see a movie, catch a live gig. I stumbeled across this website because I find my social interactions of late not stimulating enough, ie just contious looping conversation of movie quotes and internet memes. So hopefully I'm posting in the right place and can find some friends <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

Hi piderman,

You are by far the most openly intriguing Melbourne Chat new comer to have graced these pages in ever‼

I'd suggest that we head to the Victorian National Gallery and attend the final showing of Salvador Dali's Liquid Desire exhibit tomorrow night; however, My innate social quipping abilities are easily inhabited by an equally innate social awkwardness (particularly around attractive women) that you are unlikely to revere, even whilst being distracted by the display of fascinatingly morbid art work on offer at the National Gallery of Victoria.

Welcome to Melbourne Australia Chat. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

hi piderman. welcome to the forum. i hope you like it here <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

i am not as creative and imaginative as i used to be! about time i create a new melbourne chat logo but haven't done any artwork for a while. i wouldn't do the banana thing in the street as i would be too scared someone would get run over and then feel guilty for the rest of my life! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' /> i guess i am not much of a risk taker <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

According to a colleague that attended the exhibit earlier the same day we were supposed to, a majority of the exhibited Dali works were blatantly phallic.

Glen, wise move on dropping out at the last minute‼... I was also quite ragged by Saturday evening having spent the day ride hoping at Luna Park with my niece and nephew. My seven year old nephew braved the Pharaohs Curse ride, what a champion‼

I had to look up phallic in the dictionary. Crazy stuff. Not sure I want to imagine how that transpires in artwork!

I prefer cheerful/uplifting art myself! Maybe I am not very cultured! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

I had a half price thing for luna park rides so was planning on using it one of these days. It is in the Entertainment Book. I think mentioned it previously. It is just a big coupon book. Mostly food coupons but some attractions too.

Pharaohs Curse looks scarey! Better to have empty pockets while upside down i think.

Cheers, Glen

Hi Piderman. I was very interested in your post. What is your turtles name? What kind of photography do you do? I just bought myself the new cannon 500d and i have been told to give it a name? What can you suggested?

With regards to the robots, i am not sure but i am amazed what you are thinking. I always wonder when i go into a seven eleven store and the asian man behind the counter has a name tag "Bob". Is this weird? Have you ever had a deep fried Mars Bar?

Talk soon Stuart

You won't have to wait long as she will take one look at me and fall over laughing!

I'd hazard a guess that the queue is fairly long already, stretching all the back to the 70's (or what ever the heck decade that footage was taken).

Hi piderman! i'm no where near exciting as you .... my mind isn't very deeply creative - though i do enjoy photography as a hobby as well - don't have a nice camera like yours only a Panasonic FZ30 which i have not even bothered to learn the manual settings on - BUT im planning to change that - i'm trying to better myself, ive just started a journey of self discovery and self development after a break up from my fiance and partner of 7 years. I am looking to buy a Cannon 30D soon though - well HOPING to ... don't know if i can really afford it but i can dream can't i! LOL

I'm 24, I love nature, loved short walks in the wilderness and long and spontenious drives ... also love a good coffee - get very annoyed when they make it weak - thats why i normally opt for a long black with a side of cold milk.... never seems to dissapoint then.

I am totally up for a coffee with you (or anyone) sometime ... not really a night time kinda person - don't drive and i find public transport at night rather scary - so i guess i end up missing out on a fair few social opportunities.

Nice to meet you, looking forward to hearing more from you.
