Working At Monash But Want To Live Close To City?
#1
Hi everyone - would appreciate some advice.

Moving to Melbourne to work at monash but I'd like to live close to the city centre - what is the best suburb with easy transport access to clayton?

Thanks in advance!!

The nearest train station is Clayton Station which is on the Cranbourne/Pakenham line. You would then need to catch a bus from there to the university. So you could live anywhere along that train line towards the city.

But if you have a car then life is much easier! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Thanks Glen,

been doing a bit of google mapping and seems like richmond may be my best option?? Would love St Kilda but seems like the commute might be a bit epic with having to change busses trains etc.

I'm not going to have a car but from what I gather the train station is fairly near the hospital? (will be working in the hospital, not the uni)

appreciate any further input,
