If you want to see the Ocean Road views, then don't drive!
Take a bicycle instead aye?... The Great Victorian bike ride is currently being held along the Great Ocean Road.

Good reply!

I did not think about the Bike thingo!

Actually I meant be a passenger.

And sit on the left side going West!

I would not recommend riding "not" in the great bike ride.

Too dangerous. (Well for me anyway).

Yah im the same! lol i won't be doing that any time soon! lol

I'll happily be the passenger =D or stop at the view spots.

I have heard of that church you mentioned. I might have even visited when I was a kid but I have a lousy memory these days! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

The Great Vic Bike Ride along the Great Ocean Road in '91 was not dangerous at all and we even got to travel home over the West Gate Bridge... this years ride ends in Geelong.

Drove past the edge of Bunyip State Forest the other day ... looks absolutely beautiful - like a jungle ... might have to track down some walking tracks in there sometime soon!

If you find some please post.
Will do! I actually found this Parks Vic site that has some of the popular walks listed

http://www.parkweb.vic.gov.au/1park_display.cfm?park=76

... might give the Lawson Falls track a go sometime soon - wonder if i can talk my boyfriend into taking me! lol His place actually looks out onto the very edge of the State Park. Looks like the really pretty unique stuff doesn't start till quite a way up his road though .... i'll need someone to take me - darn lack of car - really gotta get me a car - but i think the road up there is more of a 4WD track in some spots anyways! lol

Heres a better PDF file of the park and tracks ...

There is also the occasional horse rider up there but they are far outnumbered by dirt bikes <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

I'd really like to hit a quality horse riding trail but not any of those inane trails where the horses are so depressingly fixed to the trail that they've crossed millions of times that any attempt to direct the horses is met with a contemptuous neigh.

Let's organize a Melbourne Chat horse riding meet-up (An entirely new thread would probably be justified)?
Hello Kara and all.

Who has been to Wilson Botanic Park in the city of Casey?

I haven't yet, (I only just discovered it today) maybe I'll give it a visit over the Christmas break.

It looks like a very interesting place for adults and children.

Check it out here:
