Moving Out
#1
Hi all,

We're moving houses next week and I'm just wondering what needs to be done in the "old" house?

Our agent send us a checklist with all the things that have to be cleaned including carpet etc. This checklist also says that we have to do pest control if there were pets on the property. We have two dogs, which are according to the lease only allowed outside, and the lease contract says nothing about pest control.

What do you think, do we have to do a flea treatment (by the way, there are no fleas or any other pests in or outside the house) even if it wasn't stated in the contract, or is that a general requirement when moving out in Melbourne?

Is flea treatment a must for getting the bond back?

Cheers, Jeannine

Anything that must be done must be stipulated in the Lease agreement.

Though, I'm no lawyer.

I never heard of this one. I guess you could say you did one but did not get a receipt!!! Though that technically might be dishonest! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />
