Hello From Croatia
#1
Hello everyone

I guess it's time to introduce myself aswell overhere so let's start <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

I'm 23 yrs old guy (24almostWink )named igor and as u can see i'm from croatia.

I got australia on my mind since i was 15yrs old,you know how it is everybody fantasies as kids, teens about

moving to some other country like USA (american dream all perfect) but i was always been pulled to australia.

So,my dream is to come to aus and simply start a new life you know.I got cousine in melbourne and i've tried to come

couple of times as a tourist but i've been rejected every time,cant even get a tourist visa <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' />.

Tho i was trying that in embassy in croatia,i think that was biggest mistake and that i should tried to do it in aus instead

in cro..but anyway i'll try in aus now and i hope this time i can make it.

it is hard like a playing lottery <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> but i hope this time i make it.

That's all about me for now,so if you guys have any question feel free to ask <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

ok guys, just to update this with some news

basicly,everything is lost now

i'm not able to come, not even as a tourist anymore

it is just impossible to me so there is only one thing left to do

drop everything,all money i spent,time,nerves evertything <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> maybe one day i can marry someone so i can stay,but i doubt that..

anyway,i can finaly let it all go and just stay here in croatia and try to live here

so guys, ladies, thank you all for ur time to welcome me here and, thats all from me now <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />

no

croatia is in realy bad shape right now and it's only getting worse

this world economy chrisis hits croatia as well, but with that.cro is being too corrupted and all

it's realy bad,i lost my job like 300 000+ ppl with me <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />

i've been searching for any job for months but no luck noone is hiring, people getting fired every

day instead

that's one of the reasons i want to go from here aswell <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

i mean, croatia has its own adventages besides that

but if you dont live here it's hard to explain it <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />

not realy tbh

countries that are part of European Union have that posibilty, but croatia isnt member of EU

so i would say no,croatians cant do that

but i have a hope to find a job and save some money, maybe next year i can get tourist visa to visit aus

and maybe something happen coz i would realy like to migrate to aus <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':fishie:' />

yea,its hard i know

to sponsor me ,gotta find someone first hehe, its hard without connections tho <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':fishie:' />

marry australian,dont know anyone <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

and family sponsor, its realy hard coz im distant relative, not close one so it makes it harder

i'll have to check everything up in details more...

but in aus not in embassy in cro..i hate them there

they dont do they job good enough,i called couple of times and not even once they said what Exactly papers i need

i missed some papers coz i sent what they asked for,and when they received they said "and where is this and that"

i said well u told me what to send,i sent that so what's the problem

lol it's laugh

my cousine have problems with them for 2 years, and when she snapped and sent all to australia, she got visa in one month without any problems <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

so,unless i can get pregnant hehehe

i dont know i'll just have to see what can i do,step by step

i always wanted to live in aus,and i wont give up on my dream <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':fishie:' />

hi. i am croatian, and new in melbourne.

igor, it seems guys on this forum are very nice. but my advice to you is to stop applying for tourist visa and instead apply for a residence or working visa. for that you need to have some points, and occupation and working experience is very important. i think it is is easier to apply to new zealand, and from there you can come to australia. what is your occupation? try to gain some really good working experience, I know it is not so easy in croatia now. if not, try to come here as a student, in australia there are many schools, TAFE, universities, I dont know what are your interests. but for that you need money. after 2 years of studying here, you got some points, and I think work experience is not important then, but i am not sure. you are still very young, just do not get pesimistic and try to prepare for that what you want to do, that is build your CV, make yoursefl capable for something. even if you apply for residence visa you need to have some money, but i think its better that you prepare for it and save that money, instead to spend it on some touristic visit to australia, and australia is expensive. just check on any web site for immigration what are occupations that presently give points, and then see what is your profile, and what you can do about it. prepare yourself for coming here, if your dream is australia, but also you should know that it is all very difficult... i know how it is in the australian embassy in croatia - they are very very formal and will make contact with you only when they are sure you have a good chances to come here. its just their job, and we all know it is not easy to come here. you just need to prepare yourself very well in advance if you really want to come...

i was writing this in english, as i think it is an advice to anybody who wants to come to australia.

sretno.
