The regular (not fast reply) reply option should display a page with two options to post the message or to preview the message... try selecting the preview message button, Peter S J.

if you are using the current firefox version there is a bug with what is called the "Rich Text Editor". You can disable it by doing the following:

Go to "My Controls" then "Board Settings" and then at the drop down at the bottom change this from "Rich Text Editor" to "Standard Editor".

Or otherwise just click the button that look like this and you can turn it on and off:

By the way. I will soon be forced to upgrade the forum software and I am in the process of testing the new software. Hopefully it won't be too big a shock to everyone! It is supposed to be "better" but we will see what you all think. The change will probably happen in a month or so. This should fix the bug mentioned aboved.

Are you upgrading to the latest version, Glen?

Yep I will upgrade to version 3.1 when it comes out. You can see it in action here:

though i will probably use a prettier "skin" (i.e. colour/look/feel).

I don't have much option other than to upgrade as the current version I am using will become unsupported soon. Sort of like moving from Windows 95 to Windows XP! hahaha

Hopefully the change will be nice and smooth!

Hi Peter, the new forum software is still not released yet. Should be pretty soon though!! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':notworthy:' />
