etag Melbourne
Does anyone know if you are just visiting melbourne for a few weeks, would you be able to get an etag (for City Link or EastLink) if you really wanted one?
I had a look at the City Link website and they seem to discourage people from getting an etag for short stays. They seem to encourage you to get a "CityLink Access Account" which they say is "ideal if you only need to use CityLink occasionally".
I was just wondering if you could insist on getting the etag just in case you come back one day.... say in a years time.
I did notice that for the etag account (called an "Everyday account")... they say there is a $50 opening payment which automatically becomes an account credit for use on CityLink. That is fine, but the next bit says you need to pay "$27.50 minimum annual payment fee per e-TAG for the first three years of your e-TAG". This seems a bit harsh! So after the first three years the thing is free? I am not sure what is so special about the first three years.
Cheers, Glen
