Opinions On Living In The St Kilda/ South Yarra Area?

Hi everyone



I'm moving to Melbourne towards the end of this year and am wanting to start sussing out which areas of Melbourne would be good to live in.



What's the general consensus on living around the St Kilda area or the nearby suburbs? Is it nice/safe/too expensive/not recommended etc etc? Any suggestions of other places that would be good to live in in melbourne?

St Kilda is a great area to live in (spent my pre teen years around there) lots to do lots to see and close to the CBD, high rate of burglaries though, well use to be. To expensive is a relative term, josso.

Teens loves adventure. If I would have a kids someday I would prefer to live in that area. Living in a place away from the city proper.
