This has been one of my worst rental experiences in Melbourne. I rented the apt 2005 in XXXXX owned by Mr. XXXXXXXX who works in XXXX.
First of all, unlike normal rental market here, XXXX charges 2 months bond which is almost $6000 (gives a crap reason that the apt is furnished).
Then, he rents out the car park separately and earns money for himself instead of giving it to the tenant in the rent.
Mr XXXXXX never provides the utility bill copies even when asked and passes on all fixed cost charges to tenants as well (I got to know later that tenants only pay consumption charges, not fixed costs)
The apt you get is not in the best condition, but when you leave he demands it to be in the best condition and then cuts a big amount from your bond money (almost 1/3rd). Please beware of such owners who take advantage of the rental market demand in Melbourne and try to suck money at every possible instance.
