I have just received my "That's Melbourne" newsletter and I see that David Jones has just add 11 new floors in a $100m makeover.

How many floors does it have now and what is the total floor area?

Is it now the biggest store in Aus? Does anybody know?

I don't even recall exactly where the store is. The Melbourne store, correct?

Here is some more info about the Grand Opening of the new David Jones store in Melbourne Bourke St Mall:

David Jones's flagship Melbourne store will have 2500 brands, of which 1600 will be exclusive to the store, and 150 on sale in Australia for the first time. To showcase properly all the fashion, men's and women's, David Jones has folded operations across seven sites and three buildings into two, while using stunning architecture and interior design to increase total floor space by more than 30 per cent.



Much of that extra room will be taken up by women's fashion, which will have 88 per cent more space.

So how many levels will there be at David Jones Bourke St?



I cannot find any confirmation that there are going to be 11 floors!
