Where Should I Move To In Melbourne? Any Ideas...
#1
I'm seriously considering moving out (I'm 21) very soon.

I want an area that's safe, has decent shops and services nearby, reasonably close to the city, a place that's not boring to live in, etc.

An area that's easy to commute to and from is a must.

An area that doesn't have so many yuppies (like Hampton), but rather a mix, would be great, but not essential.

Any ideas?

I currently live in Lynbrook and it has to be much much more exciting than that!

Well rather than being near the city you could just move directly into the city. Or perhaps something close ...like South Bank. Are you looking at renting? Share house?

Either renting or share house but more likely the latter.

Both the City and Southbank don't interest me, I'd rather live in an area where there's more trees, etc.

The following attributes are key in an area I'd like to live in:

1) Safe

2) Decent variety of shops at walking distance

3) Area serviced by a tram

4) Within 10km of the City
