He wonders why he is booed!

Yikes!

He said he doesn't want to be booed!

Yikes!

That's precisely why he is booed!

Yobbo's boo!

Presumably all those at AFL are not Yobbos

Presumably the yobbos are a small minority.

Presumably the majority are able to demonstrate to yobbos that booing is unacceptable they just have to want to.

Personally I like the Soccer response which is to play fixtures at Clubs where inappropriate behaviour is manifest behind closed doors.  The majority are then motivated to stop the offending behaviours, and the Clubs are even more motivated to stop them.

Shane Warne demonstrates his real values again!

Really sympathy for an ill brought up child that calls a very respected Australian a monkey - a truly racist remark - is absolutely pathetic.

To criticise Goodes for over reaction is pathetic - does a player have time to check the age of those denigrating him during a football game?

The remark is not made the event doesn't occur.

This is classic double standards.

What's that about pearls????

That anyone might believe that the best folks to have on your side in a fight are those sorry folks who pick on and vilify minorities is somewhat surprising really.

One can think of all manner of examples where the end results turn out to be very poor indeed.

If racists and their ilk were absent then the need for fighting a revolution diminishes!

Good heavens I have just been put in the same category as MY - go figure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep and I think that's the thing about respect - my best mate and I often have ding dong arguments - voices raised, wives shaking their heads - but we are still best mates and a mere difference of opinion is not big enough to change the respect.

I believe you would agree with that too.

Having said that it's still a bit unnerving to be lumped into your company!

As with Adam Goodes he has earned respect that should be enough to weather misguided criticism he currently attracts.

Frankly I see his stance as courageous leadership - I would want him in my trench - no worries!

I always thought the advice about being in a hole - or trench I guess -  to stop digging is quite wise!

At the risk of being accused of going off topic but clearly related:

Nick Krygios is not the kind of person I like to see representing Australia - we are better than that - generally.

The support given to him by his family clearly demonstrates where these kinds of behaviours are developed.

However masculine folks feel they are when sledging at this poor level they are clearly not sportspersons.

Maybe Bogan Sportspersons?
