This Room Is So Much Better .......
#1
I was going to post in the general discussion forum but it just does seem to have the same comforting feel as this one, so until Glen tells me off i thought i'd come on in and post a G'day [Image: tongue.gif]

I scored a day off work today due to some issue with our kitchen at work ... means less pay for the week BUT another day to recover from the weekend and the flu! lol

How was everyone's weekend!?

Mine was interesting and involved drinking, although; i had to work for a few hour on Saturday though, first time since in ever that i've worked a Saturday, just didn't get required work done by Friday, damn work interruptions.

I'm actually looking forward to not working for a while once i move overseas, two more months of work left and counting, although; my boss will be doing everything in her power to rope me into working indefinitely, even once i've moved.

good stuff! i woke up at 7:45 to get ready for work today, had my shower and then i got a call from my boss saying we weren't opening today due to some kitchen technical problem or something .... free day off for me - might actually be able to go get my tax return done! Working Saturday must have sucked! So are you still working for the same person when you're os?

I don't think many people have said yes to the meetup next week - darn them! So might end up just being you me and one other! ahh wells, at least rock climbing will be fun! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />

That's probably one of the best times to find out that work is cancelled, sorta like waking in the morning and realizing there's time for some more shut eye. Finding out the night before just wouldn't be the same. :-)

Uh huh, the human resource management system than i maintain will be hard to manage without me, i'd given my boss over two months notice to get somebody in to replace me and have plenty of time for me to train up but my boss doesn't seem to be to eager to replace me, so i can just imagine getting emails whilst overseas with "oh, can you just fix/verify/update this tiny request".

Maybe we should tee up something else if its just three people, like a city tour of sorts, landmarks, museums, and the like. Bring your camera just in case. We can decide at the meet.

yah ... we'll decide closer to the time but it might be a goer. Like i said i have a dinner to be at later that evening so i can't run into the night but i will have the whole day to play with <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />
