Thank you Glen!!!, you maybe the only one who love metal here. The band is great, they played what we call sludge metal~~ However, I think they've disband already~

What music you like?<img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I'm not a "metal fan" per se in that I don't like to box myself into a particular genre of music and become a metalhead tragic.

That said I like many metal bands, saw "Lamb Of God" last year and have plenty of Slipknot, Machine Head, etc, probably listen to about 50 different metal bands and like all kinds of metal (i.e. dark, death, etc).

There is one major huge gig coming up in Melbourne that I know of with tones of huge bands... I forget what it is called, but unfortunately it was that popular that the tickets have all sold out now, so there is no point in remembering really. Sorry! lol

Nataly, you play bass in a DM band? That's awesome!

On rare occasions I still get out my axe and play some tunes. I've forgotten most of the songs I used to know, but I can still play Replica by Fear Factory from start to finish and I remember some of Incarnated Solvent Abuse and Corporal Jigsore Quandary by Carcass.

It is indeed! By the way what about rock-clubs in Melbourne? Are concerts of local bands common? Are there many local bands in general =)? Cause I'd really like to play when (or if) I eventually come to Australia (and Melbourne particularly)

The rock scene in Melbourne I believe is pretty huge. There are plenty of live bands and gigs around as well as rock clubs/rock nights. All the major bands always stop by Melbourne for gigs.

I'm fairly new to Melbourne myself and I'm not really sure of every where to look, but I do know of a club called DV8, that has a rock night I think every Saturday. They have 3 floors. The first floor is fairly heavy and mainstream metal, the 2[sup]nd[/sup] floor is mostly 80's rock and goth and the top floor normally has a random live band.

Here is the facebook page DV8

What country are you in at the moment?

Wow, sounds cool! I'm sure rock clubs and gigs in Melbourne are a cut above ours. I'm from Russia =) So I'm sorry for my mistakes which I don't notice  <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

Well, I must say you do a great job of typing in English Nataly. I would never have guessed that it was your second language.

Russian? OMG! You probably have the sexiest accent in the world! lol But don't worry about me, I'm married. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

I'm sure you'll fit right in, here in Melbourne Nataly, it’s a great place for pretty much anyone, especially us alternative types. I think you'll love it. Although I'm an Aussie (From Canberra – I know I can hear the other Aussies saying Booooo! But I'm not keen on it either) I have been living in the UK, Blackpool mainly, for about 13 years and it sure is a breath of fresh air to get away from the ways of Britain and start living in Melbourne. It really is one of the best places to live, I think. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup2.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />
