Salut a tous,



Je suis a Melbourne depuis 3 semaines maintenant et je viens de L'ile Maurice. Je parle francais couramment et je veux rencontrer les gens (english or french or spanish or other). Melbourne is beautiful and there is so much to discover and it is so multicultural.

Thanks for the welcome. I like melbourne so much - it is so dynamic. It's been barely a month and I have seen so much. Yet I know that that there is so much to discover. And it is so multicultural. Even in the trains, I heard people speak in chinese, korean, japanese, greek, german and of course english.

The only thing that I kind of do not like is the cold weather. The wind is really freezing sometimes (like a couple of days ago)



I come from mauritius, which is a small tropical island in the middle of the indian ocean. You will not get these types of temperatures there. Well, I am here on holidays and would very much like to meet people (french speaking or not <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> ). And hey, I can even teach some french - like bonjour means good day.

I know that the summer can be very hot here. I am eagerly waiting when the summer comes

I am also into photography and like music. I heard that the melbourne fashion week is coming this week

I had a question: I am looking for houses/apartments and would like to know which are the best suburbs for a single person in Melbourne (in terms of facilities, proximity to city, nightlife, ) ? I am in coburg now.
