Grand Final Replay Catch-Up For Saturday Arvo
#1
Hey all.

How are you fairing?

What ya all doing this Saturday arvo for the Collingwood Vs St Kilda Grand Final Replay?

Mum & I were planning to go in the city to grab a bite to eat and watch the big game on the big screen somewhere, but not on our own, we would love to meet up with some people to keep us company. We are looking to make new friends, love being in company, no fun watching the GF on our own. We don't go for either team (we barrack for the mighty Western Bulldogs who were eliminated by St. Kilda in the Prelim) but thought it would be a great event to get out and hopefully mingle with some people, we don't bite, I promise :-)

Anybody interested?

If you are send me a private message and I will leave you my mobile number so we can keep in touch.

Keep smiling :-)

Catch ya @ the next change.

Pete

Hi,

I read your other post and I'm having similar experiences. I find it hard to keep and maintain real social contacts in Melbourne and I also find it hard to relate to the majority of the people here. And this is coming from someone who has lived here since they were born, 21 years ago.

I can certainly relate to contacts avoiding me due to their workaholic lifestyles, but I believe they also use that as an excuse. I also feel that there aren't many genuine people in Melbourne.

I would love to watch the big game (Take 2) with other people but I feel extremely uncomfortable going to the city on Grand Final Days. Nonetheless, I will be following with great interest, like the first installment, and hope the Saints win! They deserve it more, they have finished in the top 4 several times in the last few years and they should probably consider folding if they don't win it this year <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />

These forums also have social meetups on occasion so forum users catch up for lunch or coffee.

Welcome to the forums!

Peter.
