Best Pawn Shops?
#1
I'm looking to sell most of my 'non-basic' possesions. That is, I will retain my bed, clothing, appliances and simple things like that. This has been my decision after a lot of contemplation and serious consideration over many years. I do not want it to be the topic of discussion though.

My question is, where would you suggest I go and sell my stuff? They include things like board games, books, stamp colletion, electronics...all sorts of things.

Garage sales are unreliable and you don't end up getting very much. Cash-converters has a reputation for serious underpayment...anyone know any good particular pawn brokers/shops which will give me a lot? Preferably somewhere that will take a whole variety of stuff.

I've considered selling on the internet...then went one step further and attemped. It's a very difficult thing to do and takes way too much time...I get undercut by cheaper sellers who just want to get rid of the stuff and not interested in making as much money too so they don't sell. For the most, people just aren't interested and for some small things it's just not worth it.

I would like to get the most out of this as I can, since I will use the proceeds to help support my family overseas who I have just recently met and found out about. They basically live in utter poverty, and I see it as my responsibility to help them.

This happily coincides with my decision to sell all my unnecersary stuff, so yeah, if you can help me find or suggest to me the best place to go and sell my things and get the most from it, where it be?

thank you! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sleep.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='-_-' />

as far as i know there is no such thing as a pawn broker that pays a lot.

why not try the trading post? or just go on ebay and set a fixed price rather than auction the stuff. and you can set it for "pick up only" so you don't have to post items.

Another good site that I would recommend for free classified ads is Melbourne Gumtree (http://melbourne.gumtree.com.au/)

Searching for a pawn broker that will pay you close to what your goods are actually worth is going to be a hard thing to do, and using ebay will cost you money to list your items so you would also have to weigh that up.

How did you attempt to sell your items online last time?
