I guess we all have certain shops we adore. Love to know of the quirky little shops that still exist.
I will start with Bernards magic shop in the city. This is a real icon in Melbourne named after Bernard the magician a much loved performer who appeared at the Tivoli and later a regular in the Tarax show. I still cannot resist popping in for a look and still leave with something I can't resist trying.
A few doors down from the old Metro in Bourke street is a crazy fabric shop. Must check if its still there. Famous for a grumpy old man who hated customers. It was fun to go and get insulted!!
Anyone recall it??
