Hi Roentarre,
We're a non-profit organisation but there are small fees (which are mostly given back as prizes) to keep the club running.
You can come and play socially any day of the week (we're open every day from around 5pm, weekends longer) and if you're a non-member it costs $5.
Otherwise you can come and play in one of our events such as the Saturday casual allegro tournament on Saturday at 2pm. The cost is $15 for a non-member or $10 for a member.
Membership prices for kids, adults etc are on our website under membership options
www.melbournechessclub.org
Cheers!
